Fort McMurray, AB (July 16, 2018) – The Oil Barons added depth on defence on Monday, acquiring 2000-born defenceman Sean McCloskey from the Chilliwack Chiefs of the BCHL for future considerations.
The 18-year-old defenseman from Maple Ridge, BC appeared in 38 regular games with the Chiefs last season and registered 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes.

Hockey season is approaching
Reminder! Season ticket packages for the coming 2018/19 AJHL season are now on sale at the Casman Centre! To reserve, please visit our box office or call 780-743-5009 to reserve your seats soon.
And it may be July, but hockey season is around the corner. The Oil Barons will open main camp at the Casman Centre on Thursday, August 23, as returning veterans and aspiring rookies will compete to make this year's squad. Stay tuned for details, as we'll be releasing the full camp schedule at a later date.
2019 Dream Home update
Construction is in full swing on our 2019 Dream Home, located at 129 Cobblestone Bay in Stone Creek. The home will officially be open to the public for viewing in September and tickets are slated to go on sale on Wednesday, September 5.
Tickets will be available for purchase at the Dream Home, Casman Centre, online, or at our many local sponsors across Fort McMurray.
