For the second time this season, Taner Miller has been named the AJHL's Defensive Player of the Week! Since returning from the holiday break, the 20-year-old defenceman and Oil Barons' captain has scored 7 points (2 goals and 5 assists) in 5 games.
Over the weekend, Miller had a goal and an assist to help the Oil Barons to a 6-3 win over the Olds Grizzlys on Saturday night at the Casman Centre. Miller currently sits fourth among all AJHL defencemen in scoring with 34 points (8 goals, 26 assists) in 39 games.
Miller is the third Oil Baron to receive Player of the Week honours this season, alongside Ryan Conroy (October 22-28) and Reed Morison (December 3-9).
