The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are proud to announce forward Liam Cox-Smith has committed to ACHA Division 1 program Liberty University.
“I’m very proud and excited to announce my commitment to play college hockey at Liberty University. I would like to thank the entire Fort McMurray Organization, my coaches, my family, my teammates, and everyone who has helped me to get to this point.” Said Liam Cox-Smith.
Cox-Smith suited up in 12 games with the MOB this season after being acquired at the deadline.
“Upon acquiring Liam, he quickly showcased himself as a quality 20-year-old, offering significant leadership. Liam led by example on the ice, displaying immense grit and determination. His commitment to Liberty University is well-deserved, and we extend our best wishes to him as he embarks on this new chapter.” Said General Manager Joey Bouchard
