Krista Fahey joins MOB as Volunteer Coordinator

Fort McMurray, AB (July 25, 2017) – The Northern Alberta Athletic Association (NAAA) is excited to announce that Krista Fahey will join us as our volunteer coordinator this season.

“I’m really excited about the opportunity to join the Oil Barons and inspire more people to volunteer with the organization this year,” said Fahey. “My husband and I have been season ticket holders with the Oil Barons for the past nine years and have billeted players since the 2012/2013 season. Together, we’re very passionate about the team and want to help out in any way we can.”

In her role, Krista will be responsible for recruiting and scheduling volunteers for all Casman Centre events including Oil Barons homes games, concerts, and mixed-martial arts fights. She’ll also hold those responsibilities for fundraising initiatives held by the NAAA, including casinos and community events held under the 2017 Oil Barons Dream Home raffle.

“We’re a community-based organization and rely on the support of our loyal volunteers,” said NAAA and Oil Barons President David Fitzgerald.

“Whether that’s selling 50/50 tickets or recording the highlights of a game on its game sheet, it takes many hands and hard work from our volunteers to host events at the Casman Centre. We’re thrilled to welcome Krista on board.”
