Fort McMurray, AB — July 25, 2025 — The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are proud to announce the signing of 2008-born forward Noah Kelly from Cochrane, Alberta.
Kelly joins the Oil Barons following a standout season with the Prairie Hockey Academy U18 Prep team in the CSSHL, where he racked up 32 points (20 goals, 12 assists) in 35 regular season games and added 4 goals in 4 playoff appearances.
“Noah is a goal scorer with a gritty edge, known for getting under opponents’ skin and finishing around the net,” said Oil Barons Head Coach and General Manager Sam Klassen. “He had a strong season with PHA, one of the top CSSHL U18 programs in Western Canada, and we’re excited to have him join the Oil Barons!”
Kelly expressed his eagerness about making the jump to Junior A hockey in Fort McMurray:
“I’m super excited to be heading to Fort McMurray next season. The Oil Barons are run like a major junior organization, and I’m pumped to take my talents there and be part of such a high-level program.”
