Coach’s Blog – Winning Start to 2013

The Barons went into theirĀ 5th consecutive overtime game earning a 2-1 shoot-out victory over Drumheller last night at the Casman Center.

Drumheller jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a phantom goal which still has not crossed the goal line. The Barons tied the game on the power play in the 3rd as John Teets notched his 3rd of the year. Tanner Jaillet stopped all 3 Dragon shooters and Brock Maschmeyer scored the lone shoot-out goal for the MOB. The Barons led 38-29 on the shot clock and had a 17-11 edge in scoring chances.

The Barons welcomed back Brock Maschmeyer, Harrison Hendrix and Justin Fraser from the injured list. Jordan Clark and Mike Green have resumed skating and are expected to return in late January.
