The Barons reeled off another 3 game weekend sweep to run their record to 10-0 to start the season.
The MOB started the AJHL Showcase with a 4-1 win over Olds. The Barons held a 31-23 edge in shots and a 19-11 edge in scoring chances. Ryan Bloom was the offensive star with 2 goals (3rd/4th) and 2 assists, Kevin Miller (4th/5th) notched 2 goals and his 3rd career game winning goal. Tanner Jaillet was solid winning his 6th game of the year.
The Barons finished the Showcase with an 8-2 win over the Calgary Mustangs. Mitchell Byrne (4th/5th) Jetlan Houcher (2nd/3rd) Danton Ayotte (2nd/3rd) Adam Durkee (5th) and Brett McNeil (1st) all scored for the MOB. Jesse Gordichuk got his 3rd win of the season stopping 23 shots. The shots were 25-22 for Calgary while the scoring chances were 14-12 for the Barons.
Sunday saw the Barons in Lloydminster closing the weekend with a hard fought 3-2 win. Jetlan Houcher (4th) scored the game winning goal while Danton Ayotte (4th) and Mitch Vanderlaan (1st) also dented the twine. Tanner Jaillet was solid as the Barons were outshot 31-25. The Barons had a 13-12 edge in scoring chances.

Ryan Bloom scored his 50th career goal when he sealed the win against Olds with an empty netter. Mitchell Byrne scored his 1st career short handed goal this weekend while Mitch Vanderlaan and Brett McNeil collected their 1st career goals.
