The MOB ended their pre-season going 1-2 in the Okotoks Showcase this weekend. After defeating Okotoks 5-3 in their first game the Barons dropped a 4-1 decision to Brooks and folowed that with a 6-4 loss to Camrose. The weekend was a very strong test for the team and once again the results were mixed. On the upside the effort and physicality was much improved from the first 3 exhibition games but once again the team offence was very inconsistent.
Kevin Lacroix had 5 goals on the weekend, linemate Luc Lalor had 1 goal and 3 assists and Texas native Alex Cromwell had 4 assists.
The Barons are now down to 25 players to start the season 2 goalies, 9 defenceman and 14 forwards.

Kevin Lacroix led the team with 10 shots on net for the weekend, Scott Pooley and Matt Purmal each had 6 shots on net.
Alex Cromwell had 18 hits to lead the MOB, Brock Maschmeyer had 13 and Kevin Lacroix had 12.
Harrison Hendrix has been named an Assistant Captain for the 2012 season.
