The MOB returned from a rare mid week road trip going 1-1 against Bonnyville and Lloydminster.
The Barons lost 4-1 in Bonnyville Tuesday being out shot 40-30 while both teams had 15 scoring chances on the night. Harrison Hendrix (7th) scored the only goal while Tanner Jaillet was very sharp in the loss. The Barons lost captain Brock Maschmeyer early in the first period with a fractured thumb and he will likely miss 6 weeks of action.
The Barons bounced back with a 4-3 overtime win in Lloydminster on Wednesday in a sloppy hockey game. The MOB outshot Lloyd 27-20 and out chanced them 10-7 in the victory. Harrison Hendrix (8th,9th) had 2 goals including the overtime winner while Alex Cromwell (2nd) and Luc Lalor (4th) also scored in the game. The Barons lost forwards Mike Marianchuk and Erik Pedersen to injuries during the game.
