The Barons made it 12 straight with a weekend sweep of Drayton Valley at the Casman Centre.
The Barons won 6-4 Friday in a very sloppy game by both teams. Kevin Miller (6th), Jetlan Houcher (5th), Danton Ayotte (5th) Colten Meaver (2nd), Hayden Dawes (2nd) and Austin Yadlowski (1st) all scored for the MOB. Shots favoured the Barons 39-33 but Drayton Valley out chanced the MOB 19-16.
The Barons had a stronger effort Saturday in a 9-0 whitewash of Drayton Valley. Hayden Dawes (3rd/4th), Kevin Miller (7th/8th), Ryan Bloom (5th), Mitchell Byrne (6th), Kaiden Tobin (2nd), Danton Ayotte (6th) and Brennan Saulnier (2nd) scored for the MOB. Jesse Gordichuk won his 4th game of the year and collected his 1st AJHL shut-out stopping 26 shots. The Barons held a 52-26 shot advantage and a 20-9 edge in scoring chances.
