The Barons completed their first 3 game road sweep of the year. The offense exploded for 18 goals while giving up just 6 in 3 games.
The MOB defeated Drayton Valley 7-3 Thursday to start the trip. The shots were 30-27 Barons and the scoring chances were 11-11. Adam Durkee (7th,8th) had 2 goals with singles going to Taylor Graham (4th), Hayden Dawes (6th), Jetlan Houcher (2nd), Scott Pooley (9th) and Mike Marianchuk (6th). Justin Fraser had 3 assists and Tanner Jaillet got the victory in net.
The Barons won a hard fought 5-3 win Friday in Whitecourt. The shots were even 30-30 while the Barons led in chances 15-12. TannerJaillet was very good in net gaining his 3rd straight win. Hayden Dawes (7th) had a goal and 2 assists while Jetlan Houcher (3rd), Scott Pooley (10th), Mike Green (1st) and John Teets (5th) also scored.
The Barons finished the weekend with a strong 6-0 win Saturday in Whitecourt. Tanner Jaillet earned his 2nd shutout and 4th straight win. Justin Fraser (9th,10th) and Jetlan Houcher (4th,5th) each had 2 goals with singles to Kevin Miller (2nd) and Mike Marianchuk (7th) shorthanded.

Jordan Clark returned to the line-up after missing 46 games with a fractured ankle. Mike Green also returned to the line-up after missing 10 weeks with a neck injury.
The power play was 6 for 18 (36%) on the trip while the penalty killing was 12 for 14 (86%).
Alex Cromwell had 12 hits on the weekend to take over the team hit lead at 117, Zach Wittenburg is second with 116 and Matt Purmal has 109.
