Brodeur re-joins the Oil Barons as an Assistant and Goalie Coach

Fort McMurray, AB (August 7, 2019) – The Fort McMurray Oil Barons are excited to announce that Mike Brodeur has re-joined the orgnaization as an Assistant Coach. Brodeur will also serve as the team’s Goalie Coach.

Brodeur first joined the Oil Barons as a Video and Goalie Coach in August 2014 and spent three seasons with the organization. A veteran of nine professional seasons, Brodeur spent time with the Ottawa Senators during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons.

Brodeur is also an alumus of the AJHL, having played goal for the Camrose Kodiaks for two seasons from 2001 to 2003. During his time in Camrose, Brodeur won a league championship, a Doyle Cup, and reached the Royal Bank Cup final in 2003.

The Oil Barons would like to welcome Mike and his family back to Fort McMurray!

A reminder that Oil Barons’ main camp begins on Thursday, August 22 at the Casman Centre. Camp will wrap up on Sunday, August 25 with our annual Blue/Gold Game. A full schedule for main camp (including times) will be released at a later date.
