Best of luck to our graduating Barons!

The Oil Barons would like to wish the very best to players leaving our program this off-season as they head to the next level.

After being the franchise’s leading scorer over the last three seasons, captain Jetlan Houcher will be joining the University of Alabama-Huntsville Chargers of the NCAA Division I Western Collegiate Hockey Association.

Having finished three years in the AJHL, leading the Oil Barons in scoring in 2012-13, and part of one season in the USHL, Luc Lalor will join the Cornell University Big Red in Ithaca, New York, part of the NCAA Division I ECAC Hockey conference.

That’s the same destination for alternate captain Mitch Vanderlaan, after two years with our program firmly establishing himself as one of Fort McMurray’s fan favourites.

Stay tuned to this page as we update the destinations of our other graduating players.

We would also like to wish all the best to Oil Barons alumni Adam Wilcox and John Teets, who will also join the Division I ranks as they attend and play for the University of Alabama-Huntsville as well.
